Who we are

GoldBee is a Brno-based family brand founded on the belief that quality fashion should above all be authentic and functional in real life.

The heart of our brand is our own workshop in Brno. Right here, under one roof, every piece goes through a complete process – from the first design and selection of premium materials to precise final production. Thanks to local manufacturing, we have full control over both quality and ethics of the entire process.

We specialize in sports and leisurewear defined by clean design and perfect fit. Our leggings, swimwear, and sweatshirts are not just seasonal trends, but wardrobe essentials that support you during training as well as well-deserved rest.

We design for real women and different body types. Our goal is for you to feel confident, comfortable, and without compromise in GoldBee.

We believe in a renaissance of honest textile craftsmanship in the Czech Republic. Our vision is to show that local production can compete with global brands not only in quality, but also in innovative approach.

When creating collections, we emphasize durability and sustainability. Instead of fast fashion, we choose the path of quality that lasts for years. We deeply value feedback from our community – your input is what constantly pushes us to improve and evolve our products.

We don’t want to be the biggest brand on the market. Our mission is to create clothing you will love and a brand you will confidently return to. That is our Brno brand. That is GoldBee.

Our story

2010–2015 · Building the foundations
It all started with founder Jan Kočař, who entered business in his early twenties. From running his own café, he moved on to building the distribution company Czech Soul. These years in gastronomy and chewing tobacco distribution gave him a tough school in business management and customer care, which we still build on today.
2015–2019 · The path to fashion

Jan’s entry into the fashion segment came through the distribution of the Italian brand Freddy and other sports labels. During these years, he gained deep insight into fashion retail, marketing, and logistics. This was a crucial encounter with the fashion world that sparked his desire to do things differently and his own way.

2020 · Turning point

The turning point came with the first wave of the pandemic in 2020. Sales of distributed clothing stopped overnight. Jan describes it as a “kick in the head” that forced us to act. Instead of waiting, we made a radical decision: to establish our own production directly in Brno.

2020 · The birth of GoldBee
At the beginning of the pandemic, we bought sewing machines, assembled a team of people who had lost their jobs, and started producing textile face masks. What was originally meant as a one-time project became the foundation of a future manufacturing company. In 2020, GoldBee was born as a transformation of the original distribution business – a brand with its own design and production, focused on women’s sportswear, swimwear, and seamless products that women immediately fell in love with.
2021–2022 · Expansion and growth
From the beginning, we built on local and ethical production – most items are made in Brno and the surrounding area, with experienced seamstresses and a strong focus on transparency of origin. We gradually expanded the range to include loungewear and accessories. We didn’t want to waste materials unnecessarily, so we launched the Save Clothing collection. It gives a second chance to pieces with minor imperfections that still serve perfectly well. Thanks to this, you can buy them at a fraction of the price, while together we save both the planet and resources. GoldBee secured a stable place in the wardrobes of thousands of satisfied customers. In its first year alone, the company sold over 50,000 handmade products across Europe. Our seamless leggings were especially in high demand.
2022–2024 · Defining identity
In 2022, the company strengthened its local brand and PR, for example with a collection inspired by the Tugendhat Villa, and also offered jobs to refugees from Ukraine. We refined our visual style. We focused on building a strong and friendly community and a distinctive design that defines us today.
2024–2026 · The future is local
A major milestone was the opening of our store in the Futurum shopping center in Brno, where customers can try our products immediately. At the same time, we shifted to a more personal, humorous, and less formal communication style on social media, which became one of the brand’s key characteristics. Today, we are a modern European brand with proud Brno roots. We continuously invest in new technologies and develop our own production with respect for tradition.
